This blog (click on title) recently appeared on my radar screen, and I thought some of you might be interested. The blogger writes, "The intent of my blog is to educate adoptive parents about Chinese culture, China adoption, and other aspects of their child's early life in China." It provides essays that specifically address questions that people ask me. Enjoy.
Referrals
Referrals have been given to familes logged into the CCAA 7/13/05 and earlier. I know this is confusing language unless you are living in the world of adopting from China--see my blog from March 2nd, 2006 for an explanation of "referral."
There's a chance--only a chance mind you--that we could receive a referral as early as this month (i.e. August). Apparently there are fewer dossiers than normal logged in during the month of August 2005, and we are one of those. If it's true that there are fewer at the beginning of August, then there's at least a chance that we may be included in the next batch. If not in August, then hopefully in September. This is great motivation to get our paperwork all up to date! Thank you so much for your prayers, and please continue to pray for us and for little Selah.
