Our adoption agency, America World gives weekly region specific updates (linked in the title) . Last week's China update (July 21st) is a good reminder of the need for restraint in considering internet rumors. Jennifer and I have learned not to put too much stock in them. But that doesn't keep us from enjoying them anyway! It helps to pass the time while we're waiting.
The latest rumors are that the CCAA will make referrals to families logged in to their office through July 13th of 2005. Our log in date (aka LID) is August 8th, 2005. It's still impossible to really tell when our referral might come.
Meanwhile, in Oklahoma adoption home studies are good for one year. Ours expired in April, and it's time to update it. Our social worker visited us on this past Tuesday to update our information. We will also have to update things like background checks, doctor's physicals (us and the boys), and fingerprints.
