Moving Forward

This past week we received notification from Shaohannah's Hope (see link) that we have received a grant from them to help with our adoption expenses! Shaohannah's Hope is a foundation of the Steven Curtis Chapman family to provide financial assistance to families seeking to adopt. We are extremely thankful for the work they are doing. We continue to be humbled by the Lord's provision through a number of sources for us to be able to pursue this adoption at this time.

In other news, the buzz within our adoption agency is that referrals from the CCAA (the Chinese Government agency that processes adoptions) have slowed down recently. We had hoped that we might receive a referral in February or March 2006 and travel around April. However, right now it looks like we may not receive a referral until April or May. There really is no way to predict for sure. Meanwhile, we are trying to wait patiently and pray.
